You must be getting excited as the Startup Weekend Christchurch 2014 is now only few days away. I know we are!
Everything is more or less ready with our line up of mentors, judges, and of course our volunteers.
Friday – Kick off @ 4:30pm
We are going to start the weekend on a light note in an effort to help us all get to know each other. Therefore we are starting over at the Stray Dog, across from Epic at 4.30pm on Friday the 14th of March.
Come and join us for some Friday night drinks and start getting to know the people you will spend the weekend with.
Friday – Registration opens @ 5:00pm
Registration is open from 5:00pm and no later than 6pm.
Remember to use only the Manchester Street entrance, throughout the weekend.
Friday – Opening @ 6:05pm
The weekend then really takes off as Rowan Yeoman, our MC and facilitator, will guide you through how the weekend will work.
Shortly after, those of you wanting to pitch an idea, will be invited to take the stage for one minute.
Following that we will gather into teams and begin working on the ideas.
Somewhere in the mix we’ll have a little dinner.
Sunday – Finale @ 5:00pm
After all the hard work over the weekend we will relocate to CPIT for the final presentations.
You are welcome to invite friends and family to this part of the event, just ask them to sign up on Eventbrite as there are limited spaces.
Sunday – Rewards and drinks following the finale
Now is the time to relax after all the hard work. Gathering where we started on Friday (at Stray Dog) we will have some food and drinks.
There will be rewards, prizes and even some speeches.
You can find parking at the corner of Manchester St and St Asaph St for about $4 a day, or free parking just a bit further away at the corner of Madras St and Tuam St.

The Epic building will be open to you for the following times:
Friday: 5:00pm – 12:00am
Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00am
